Our objective is to strike the right balance between price and quality. The last thing you want is a crew of cowboys who underbid everyone else and leave your project hanging by threads, but you probably don’t need someone charging Sistine Chapel prices either. For many projects we can provide an estimate if you send us a few images or a video, if the project is bigger or more complex then we’ll send an expert out to your site for a manual assessment. We will always be fair and transparent, and we would rather lose a contract than underbid and leave a customer with shoddy work. So we can’t guarantee the cheapest price, but we can guarantee the best price for solid work.

Dry stone masonry is a building method that employs carefully selected stones without using any mortar to bind them, which requires great skill and experience. One of the advantages of dry stone masonry is that structures can last for millennia, and that they’re environmentally friendly.
Thatched Roofs
Thatching is a traditional method of roofing that involves using natural materials like reed and straw to cover a roof. Thatching is a highly skilled and rare trade that involves material selection, layering, affixing, trimming/shaping, and ridge work. Traditional thatched roofs are beautiful, functional, and environmentally friendly alternatives to modern roofing options. Artex Plastering
Artex finishes require a great deal of skill and experience to produce successfully, and the number of Artex plasterers has declined dramatically in recent years. Artexing was very popular in the 20th century and was used to add decorative elements and texture to interiors. Although demand for Artexing has diminished, we maintain a network of plasterers who are highly skilled and can produce a wide range of Artex patterns; these teams often work on historic renovations and require significant advance booking.
Faux Finish Painters
Faux finishes mimic the appearance of materials like stone, wood, marble, and metal without using those actual materials; this service involves applying various layers of paint and/or glaze, and using techniques like marbling, graining, sponging, rag rolling, and metallic finishes. Mosaic Tiling
This is a job that requires immense patience and skill. Mosaic tilers need to be able to keep track of vast, intricate arrangements of tiny tiles in order to create complex patterns and images. We are able to facilitate the production of a wide range of mosaics, including Victorian mosaics, herringbone, chevrons, tessellation, Versaille, and fully custom designs. We do not produce our own tiles, but we can source nearly any type of tiling material, including specialist materials like penny-round tiles, metal mosaics, and artisanal tiles.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you provide any services outside of roofing, plastering, painting, and tiling?
Yes, we are able to provide many adjacent services like power washing, gutter cleaning, and most property maintenance services. We do not currently provide carpentry, electrical, or plumbing services.
Can you serve any location in County Cork?
Mostly, but remote locations may require longer wait times and we may not be able to take on smaller contracts in more remote locations due to the cost of travel. That said, we have an extensive network of contractors and can almost certainly recommend a skilled painter, plasterer, roofer, or tiler in those areas if we aren’t able to fulfil the contract in time.
How long does it take to get an estimate?
This depends on the complexity of the project. For simpler contracts we can often get you a quote within 24 hours during the work week. More complex or ambiguous projects will require an in-person estimate from an expert and may take up to 48 hours to schedule, depending on how busy we are and your location. Please note that online estimates will be proofed by the contractor prior to commencing work and if they discover anything that may increase the cost, they will notify you prior to starting.
How do you choose contractors?
We’re very picky about who we work with and only select contractors who we have known for a long time, or who come highly recommended from close associates. We would always rather turn down a contract than risk sending an inadequately qualified or vetted contractor to a site. What we look for are a combination of experience, skill, work ethic, reliability, cost effectiveness, and people skills. When a contractor or team arrives at your site, it’s our job to do our best to ensure that they’re competent, honest, and easy to work with – regardless of whether they’re a tiler, roofer, painter, or plasterer.
